FINALLY someone mentions [eviscerate]. I'm not much of an axer (I like KD, so on wars I use sword or hammer), but if you're gonna use an axe, you may as well use the best axe elite.

That would be the right move.
DS/SY is like pwnage. So long as you don't get blocked or miss.

My opinion on Evi is that it is better in PvP than PvE.

[dragon slash]
[earth shaker]
[triple chop]
[hundred blades]
[warrior's endurance]
elites to think about for farming purposes:
[gladiator's defense]
[auspicious parry]
we're only talking about Warrior elites here, but keep in mind that secondary elites also work fine, mainly for farming.
[vengeful was khanhei]

[warrior's endurance]
[earth shaker]
[dragon slash]
and well that's it really but i guess if i had to pick 5:
[battle rage] because brage+[[never rampage alone] is kinda cool
[hundred blades] because what would pve be without farming i guess?

Sure, but...
[dragon slash][brawling headbutt]
and
[earth shaker]
do a lot more KD than
[eviscerate][brawling headbutt]

I'll run with [[email protected]] if I'm in HM and want to run an Axe build. Enemies don't blow up as fast, so I get to use Evis more often and it doesn't feel like a wasted Elite. That and with at least one of my Necro Heroes always carrying [[Weaken Armor], I just use [[Body [email protected]] to get my DW and don't even have to slot [[[email protected]] unless I absolutely want to - it's PvE, DW or no DW shit dies quickly. Otherwise, [[email protected]] is far more likely to turn up on a PvP bar, in PvE, not so much.
Other than that, it's [[email protected]]. [Whirling [email protected]] is nice when you know you are going to be facing mobs that use block skills, but unless that's the case, +29dmg is better than +19dmg, and if they aren't going to be blocking, chances are any Stance they might use is going to be little more than a minor annoyance whether or not it's active or removed.

[[cleave] is kinda meh. [[warrior's endurance] lets you spam [[power attack] for more damage at about the same rate, while also giving you tons of energy to use other energy skills - [[asuran scan] or [["you move like a dwarf!"] for example.

In PvP, it's the best elite in the game, any profession. In PvE, it's merely the best axe elite.

[[Eviscerate] is a strong skill in PvP, but I just don't think it's that good for PvE since you don't need the spike damage. Using another Elite that lets you spam more or do AoE like [[Warrior's Endurance] or [[Triple Chop] would help more.

somebody's stuck in the past. warrior's endurance is better, even considering only warrior elites. even the current prage is on par with evis. there are more viable elites now and thus better options than trading off DW spammability for +29 dmg on your less frequent spikes.

[[Primal Rage] isn't that good anymore with 15 second recharge making line backing much more effective so I wouldn't say it's better than [[Eviscerate]. Sure, you can cancel stance it, but you won't be able to use it as much anymore.
But that doesn't put Eviscerate back into Axe Builds. Since the nerf of Primal Rage, I see Axes going back to Endurance Axe than Shock Axe since it allows them to spike constantly for more DPS and pressure, which helps more than a little bit stronger spike that happens less frequently. For Swords, I see them going back to [[Crippling Slash].

PRage still kicks ass in PvE, which is what this thread is about.

I don't see the point of using [[Primal Rage] as your Elite in PvE. IAS is nice, but since foes don't kite, the IMS is kind of wasted. And also because they don't kite, [[Flail] works good for an IAS so you don't need to waste an Elite slot for one.

A WE warrior is going to be dishing out +36 damage every 3 seconds, deep wound every 5 adrenaline, and a 1/2 second attack with a possible additional 36 damage. An eviscerate warrior is going to be dishing out +29 damage and deep wound every 8 adrenaline, and +36 with possible deep wound every 7 adrenaline.
I don't think I need to tell you who wins out of that.

Yes they do, they do a lot, at least the HM stuff in prophecies like the monks and casters I've been fighting know when to haul ass. The shiverpeak protecters, the maguuma protecters and grawl and a few other caster type mobs like to haul ass when they see me coming, run my ass around while their arriors and rangers chop up my softies.
Though P-rage is inferior to Drunken Master in PvE. Even without the booze the non elite bar compression and duration make it awesome.

That's really odd lol. All the time I play PvE, I've never had someone try to kite from me, even in HM. I think it might be because I use a MM on one of my heroes so all the minions running around is blocking them in.
